As you may have noticed, the Love Your Data week event is now the Love Data Week event. We are beginning to gather our planning committee for 2018. See the details below, including an estimated time commitment and opportunities to contribute. Let us know if you’re interested in joining the planning committee by completing this quick form.
When? February 12 – 16, 2018
Where? Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, your campus, your city, your professional society, your research team/lab, or wherever you want to have the conversation
Who? Anyone can join in on the fun! This event is open to all – researchers at all stages of their career, professionals who use research data, students, community members, small business owners, interested citizens. In the past, we have had participation from data librarians, repository managers, researchers, students, publishers, and more.
How? For now, we are looking for 10-12 planning committee members to create a fantastic event for 2018. This includes developing a theme, creating content and activities, promoting the event, and supporting community members in planning local events, workshops, or discussions. We need people with knowledge about research data management, sharing, and preservation, as well as people with graphic design, content development, and audio/video editing skills. (You don’t have to be a pro at these things to contribute, though we welcome pros if they are willing to donate their time.)
